20:09: Ridgefield shouts: As you may or may not have heard, Omni-Tek has been plagued by a recent string of mercenary attacks and industrial sabotage this past week.
20:10: Ridgefield shouts: The first occured on Tuesday, when a large mercenary force tried to capture and hold our notum cannons in Clondyke.
20:10: Ridgefield shouts: However, due to the response by Omni combat personnel the mercenaries were defeated soundly and the cannons retaken with no damage.

20:11: Ridgefield shouts: The following day, much to my disappointment, a prominent Omni-Tek scientist, Dr. Jameson Helbron was kidnapped by unknown agents, who we believe were Clan citizens, from a research facility in the Clondyke region.
20:12: Ridgefield shouts: Dr. Helbron was working on next generation grav-technology.

20:13: Ridgefield shouts: Finally yesterday, 4 Holes came under attack by another mercenary force, the area was contained by our guards there and by personnel, but there was some damage to our mining operations.

20:13: Ridgefield shouts: Omni-Pol and Omni-Mil have dilligently investigated and reinforced these areas, and an investigation is on-going.
20:14: Ridgefield shouts: However, from preliminary reports, we believe that these attacks are not from any residents of Rubi-ka, but a yet as unknown rival corporation with some agenda here on our world.

20:16: Ridgefield: That is a definite possibility. However, there are many others who would like nothing more than a piece of our operations here on Rubi-ka.
20:16: Tifaret: about that Dr. Helbron, are there recordings of his kidnapping ? or did he simply vanish ?

20:16: Ridgefield shouts: The facility was destroyed and all others inside killed in the attack. We know he was kidnapped simply by the fact that his body was missing from the wreckage.

20:17: Ridgefield: And the fact that he did not return to our reclaim facilities.

20:18: Ridgefield: Some yes. First we have videotape from the Clondyke attack, the mercenaries there showed definite Clan signatures. Furthermore, evidence of Clan technology was found in the wreckage of the research facility from spent shellcasings that are Clan made.

20:19: Ermintrude: What do outside corps have to gain from messing with RK so near to the time when the lease comes back up?
20:19: Tifaret: but if there was a third party bidding for power on RubiKa, it's first move would be ensuring the peace with the clans is broken...
20:20: Ridgefield: Quite simple really. If they can prove to the ICC that Omni-Tek is incapable of controlling its facilities, then the mines will be leased to others.

20:35: Ridgefield: There are two steps all departments and employees should take. The first is, please be aware of your surrondings. We believe that agents of our rival even now travel amongst our facilities and cities. You may see them, if you do, apprehend them at all costs. The second is, be prepared to respond quickly when called upon. Often these raids and attacks come with no warning and we must be ready. Patrol areas that you may not frequently venture. We are on a constant alert to prevent and defeat these enemies.
