The dojo welcomes Omni MA of all levels (on RK2). To join:

  • Read and accept the rules of The Dojo (read them)
  • /tell any member of House Gassho (see here), or a Council member alternatively. If the member you are trying to contact is not online, you can add them to your friends list for easy viewing of their online status later by typing in /cc addbuddy xxx.
  • Be nice to other members and the Org as a whole

After you have joined:

  • You will be ranked as "applicant". You will have reduced rights in the Dojo
  • To become full member, you need 1. Post your intro on the members presentation board - pls include the name of the recruiter who invited you, 2. Be in The Dojo at least 1 week after posting your intro 3. Ask any council member to be promoted , 4. Be approved by the council. If approved one of the Council members will promote you to "unit member". If not, you will usually be granted (and notified) an additional trial period. IMPORTANT - Each applicant is required to contact a council member for his/her promotion after the reqs have been fufilled.

FOTD (Dojo alts): If you are/become a member of The Dojo, and have/create non-MA secondary characters, they are welcomed to join "Friends of the Dojo" our sister org, that has been created for this very purpose.

FOTD (Pure Application): Those not a member of The Dojo who wish to apply to FotD must meet a couple criteria first : 1) Be level 50+ 2) Have at least one contact/friend in Dojo/FotD currently who can recommend them. If these criteria are met, then they may request an interview from House Gassho. Interview and application process is the same as for Dojo, except that pure FotD applicants post their introduction in the FotD Member forum instead. After a new FotD member is promoted, they may bring as many alts of any level into FotD, and can even bring an MA into Dojo.

Note to new members:

The guild is rather large. Many people know each other, and talk a lot on the chat channel. All levels are present, but the oldest members tend to be higher level for obvious timing reasons.

If you are new, do say 'hi' and 'bye' on the channel when you log in or out. Be patient, it may take some time to find your place among the members. If in the flood of the discussion you post a question and it is not answered, don't get pissed off. It happens to everyone, and it may just mean that your question had no answer (eg if you ask 'does anyone know XYZ', and nobody knows that, you wont get answers like 'no i dont know XYZ', but rather no answer at all etc...). Also read carefully the Dojo section and especially the "Behavior" part of it.

But overall you should find plenty of nice people ready to support you. If it was not the case and you had any issue do /tell me or House Fudoshin. I keep utmost secrecy on private conversation with Dojo members.

Leaving the Dojo is nothing to be ashamed of. We are a School, and we fully understand that you may feel at some point that you have learned all you could with us. No hard feelings! Just drop me a /tell, to let me know why you quit (''Im joining the XYZ org where my pal is" or "I cant stand XYZ in the Dojo he pisses me of sorry"...). You will be entered in our Alumni list (see The Members section)! And we may actually contact you later when we do Alumni included events! And of course, you can still join us again later!
